Spring is upon us which means three things 1)Baseball season is starting! Go Twins! 2) Grilling season has started! 3) I'm going to be a father soon! So, what's been happening at the Schultz residence?
I think that pretty much sums it up. Yesterday we went to the doctor, saw a financial planner, and rearranged the living room to make it more baby friendly. We are due May 7 but, knowing that Miriam came a month early and hoping to not have a repeat of that (we are hoping for at least 36 weeks and a day to stay out of nicu), Miriam has to start making some difficult changes to her habits. First, no more twelve hour shifts (shucks). Second, when she is not at work, she must rest! The doctor specifically mentioned no laundry, lifting, or prolonged exertion. I don't know if she will be able to handle it... Other preperations that are completed include acquiring a car seat, setting up a crib, and constantly thinking about how little space we have here.
That is all for now. In the words of Linus, "I'll see ya when I see ya."

Wow, I can't believe due date is almost here. Good luck to both of you, and Miram take advantage of the rest. After D-Day all rest will end as you know it.
I think I see what you're doing here daddy...you are trying to trick me into trying really hard to rest by blogging about how you don't think I can handle it! I'm on to your mind games...and for the record, I have my feet up right now! So there!
Does this mean you are naming the baby Linus?! :)
Miriam,
Milk this for all it's worth. Laundry, lifting and too much exertion can pretty much encompass EVERYTHING you don't want to do!
